It was the first day of 2014. While planning the engagement session, Lindsey and I had been hoping for snowy, winter wonderland kind of shoot. The only thing was, we only had one week to work with scheduling due to Pete’s military schedule. So we made the best of the no snow look we were ending up with. Before I start shooting, I always ask to see all of the outfits/accessories so I can visualize what to wear and when to switch up the looks during the shoot. I have always been a firm believer that things happen for a reason. There are no coincidences in this life. So when I asked to see Lindsey’s outfit choices, and her jaw dropped….I had a feeling of what she was about to say. “I left all of my outfits by the front door!! All I have is what I have on and a trunk full of accessories!!” I immediately knew that this was no coincidence, but this was meant to happen. The forecast was calling for a heavy snow the next day. I reminded Lindsey about what the winter wonderland that was on it’s way. We could shoot tonight in the outfit she wore, switch up the look with my coat, and then finish up tomorrow in the snow!! I know she was probably a tad bit bummed out….but I secretly knew it was going to work out for the best!! And that is precisely what happened…and she was able to bring her pup the next day!!! I love how much fun these two have when they are together. I was cracking up editing their photos because of all of the funny faces, the teasing, the laughing, and their sense of humor. Needless to say, after all of this winter weather, I am definitely looking forward to the warm month of August where we will be celebrating the union of these two!!!
HELLOOOOOOO HAIR MODEL!!!!!!
And flash-forward one day……. I love these SOOOO much!!! I ALMOSTTTT forget just how cold it actually was…ALMOST!
I was so happy we were able to incorporate Pete’s military uniform AND Lindsey’s unique and pretty engagement ring!
