Like a river flows so surely to the sea,
darling, so it goes,
some things are meant to be.
-Can’t Help Falling In Love
They say a memory is a selection of images. These images are moments in time. Time may not have the ability to stand still, but we all have those moments that hold the power to create that mental image, that memory that will stay with you forever. The string quartet was serenading the entire church and you could feel the anticipation as everyone rose from their seats and awaited Hailee’s grand entrance. I do not think anyone was more excited than the man waiting for her at the end of the aisle. As the doors opened, Jon glanced down and noticed his grandma proudly smiling at her grandson as he patiently waited for his bride to make her way into his arms. The tears were streaming down his face. This was four years in the making. His emotional reaction reminded me of why we were all gathered together in the first place; Love.
When it came to design and a theme, Hailee and Jon knew they wanted to keep it simple, well as simple as a wedding can be. They were going for an intimate gathering with a traditional and romantic feeling. Between the blush bridesmaid dresses, lace accents, and beautiful bouquets from Bloomin’ Buckets, that were accented with my favorite little detail…long satin knots which were little love knots….I have to say they nailed the look, feel, and essence of everything they were going for. And now, without further adieu, lets begin….
The morning started with the Salon Antebellum ladies arriving with Mimosas and bagels in hand!!
Have to give props to Jon with the gift he surprised Hailee with!! The boy has good taste!!!
During all of our in-between photos, the entire bridal party was needing a bathroom break, and Amy & Josh with Sweet Tea Media were gracious enough to let the huge Limo Bus pull right up to their front door and use their facilities. Amy and Josh’s 3 kiddos were pretty excited to see who Mommy and Daddy brought home! They were the talk of all the neighborhood kiddos! While the boys were inside….me and the girls headed to the backyard for a few photos…..
The entire bridal party had me smiling and laughing all day. What an amazing group of friends and family!!
The Renaissance Grand of St. Louis did a stand up job turning the Statler Ballroom into everything that Hailee and Jon were going for. I especially loved the cute little touch of adding Pom-Poms to all of the Rams Cheerleader’s seats! It’s the simple things that get me every time!
The dance floor and photo booth (provide by moi) were packed all night!
I asked Hailee if she had any pointers for brides who may be in the process of planning their own big day. Here is what she had to say:
Keep things simple….and give yourself extra time getting ready. You want to have moments of downtime throughout the day so you can enjoy your family, friends, and new husband. Aesthetically, I believe that you do not need to incorporate a lot of colors or elements. Let you celebration with family and friends be the centerpiece.
A huge shout out to the entire crew who made Hailee and Jon’s day possible!!

Me and the lovely hairstylist, who happens to be one of my best friends and most insanely talented people I have ever met. She has walked me through ombre hair, red hair, blonde hair to my current bang phase. If you are looking to entrust your hair into someones hands….I highly recommend Miss Kelly Bileddo, owner at Salon Antebellum.
And a special shout out to my sissy who was right there by my side all day!
A big thank you to Hailee and Jon for trusting and choosing me to capture this wedding day. It flew by…I mean seriously, can we do it all over again!!? Hailee- you are such a ray of light. Beautiful, down to Earth, sincere, charismatic, smart and so much more. Jon, I remember meeting you for the first time at Elizabeth and Max’s wedding (or Kate and Adam’s?), either way….I noticed something that still remains; You are kind, gentle and loving when it comes to your bride. Seeing her with a man like you fills my heart with gratitude. Thank you for coming into her life, taking her hand in yours and treating her like a queen.
