Look at you, still pretty as a picture.
Look at me, Still Crazy over you.
Look at us, still believin’ in forever. (Vince Gill)
As Aaron and Alex held on tight to each other, and all eyes focused in on them for the four minutes that they had together as their first dance as husband and wife. It is their song, and every lyric rang true to their relationship. Eight years ago, they were two students at SIU-Carbondale. He did what any respectable man would do, and asked her on a date to Show-Me’s. A pitcher of beer and an order of hot wings later , they knew they were onto a good thing. They both still share that carefree and happy spirited personality personality. After spending this special day with them, it is easy to see why they are still crazy over each other. They made me laugh, they made me cry, and they made me believe in love with a best friend.
(I loved this ring that Alex wore all day!)
Then it was time for the First Look in the Crystal Ballroom (which by the way, I am absolutely in love with this as a venue!!). His genuine expression was adorable. I remember when Alex and I first met, she had not planned on a first look. After we wrote out the timeline with no first look and with a first look, she ended up opting to have the first look. She has shared with me that she is so happy that she did do the first look. It gave the two of them a secluded moment to pause during the craziness of the day and just be together, and most importantly, that big moment of walking down the aisle, was still just as emotional.
